Retha Van Stelten

Retha Van Stelten is a highly experienced psychologist and industrial psychologist, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (PS 0101389) and as a psychometrist (PMT 0048607). She holds a Master of Arts in Industrial Psychology (Cum Laude), an Honours Degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Retha has over two decades of experience in individual counseling, psychometric assessments, trauma and grief therapy, addiction support, court preparation for abuse victims, anxiety and stress management, holistic wellness, and human resource development. She is fluent in English and Afrikaans and offers specialized interventions for children, adolescents, and adults.

Retha’s career spans private practice, corporate consultancy, and entrepreneurship. She has worked extensively with mining companies, supporting employee wellness for thousands of staff and their families, providing trauma therapy, PTSD debriefing, stress management, and psychometric testing. In 2013, she founded her own boutique hotel, applying her skills in systems development, staff training, and business coaching. Since 2023, Retha has been operating a private psychology practice in White River, Mpumalanga, offering counseling, psychometric assessments, psychotherapy, and holistic wellness services for individuals and organizations.
