Humraaz Kaja

Humraaz Kaja is a motivated and results-driven Pharmacist based in Johannesburg, South Africa, with extensive experience in pharmaceutical care, pharmacovigilance, and quality assurance. Holding a Master’s in Pharmacy (Pharmacovigilance) and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours), both from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, she has consistently demonstrated excellence, graduating Summa Cum Laude and earning multiple Dean’s Commendations.

Her professional experience spans positions as Deputy Responsible Pharmacist, Quality Assurance Manager, and Pharmacovigilance Officer at Gen-Eye (Pty) Ltd and Pharmaco Distribution (Pty) Ltd. In these roles, Humraaz has overseen product labelling, quality oversight for manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution, and management of local pharmacovigilance activities. She has successfully conducted audits, developed SOPs, and provided training in quality compliance, ensuring strict adherence to SAHPRA and Pharmacy Council regulations.

Humraaz began her career as a Community Service Pharmacist at Gamalakhe Community Healthcare Centre, where she managed pharmacy personnel, evaluated prescriptions, prepared aseptic vaccinations, and provided pharmaceutical care for chronically ill patients using Rx Solutions and the Unisolve system. She also contributed to pharmacy-related awareness programs and pharmacist-initiated therapy under supervision.
