Dr Tumiso Masenya

Overview
Dr. Tumiso Masenya is a qualified medical doctor with an MBChB from the University of Limpopo (2009) and over 15 years of professional experience in both hospital and community healthcare. He is currently a Medical Mentor with the Foundation for Professional Development (FPD), where he focuses on health system strengthening, HIV/TB/PMTCT programs, clinical mentorship, and quality improvement planning across the Nkangala District. His role includes conducting clinical discussions, leading training for healthcare workers, supporting ART initiations, and ensuring high standards of patient care through data-driven interventions.
Dr. Masenya previously worked at Leratong Hospital (Gauteng) as a Medical Intern and later as a Community Medical Officer at George Masebe Hospital (Limpopo), where he gained broad experience in casualty, outpatient, maternity, and inpatient care. He has advanced training in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), HIV management, and voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC). Fluent in English, Tswana, and Zulu, he is known for his commitment to patient-centered care, capacity building, and improving health outcomes in underserved communities.
