Dr Samuel Stewart Abura

Dr Samuel Stewart Abura is a highly experienced medical doctor with over a decade in internal medicine and cardiology. Currently serving as a Senior Medical Officer in the Cardiology Department at Port Elizabeth Provincial Hospital, he specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of cardiac patients, including preparation for catheter laboratory interventions and open-heart surgeries. His work includes intensive care monitoring, resuscitation of acutely ill cardiac patients, and implementation of therapeutic protocols to improve outcomes for patients with complex heart conditions.

Previously, Dr Abura gained extensive experience as a Senior Medical Officer at Livingstone Hospital, where he managed patients with chronic illnesses, provided Covid-19 triage and care, and contributed to training medical interns and students.
