Dr Itumeleng Moutloastse Makine

Dr Itumeleng P. Moutloatse Makine is a highly experienced medical doctor with over 24 years in the medical field, including 3 years of international practice in Canada specializing in family medicine. She has a strong background in occupational health, disability management, HIV and TB programs, and public health strategy. Dr Makine has also worked extensively in the mining health sector, where she headed business units for more than a decade, managing health risk programs and stakeholder engagement at both operational and strategic levels.

Currently serving as an Occupational Health Physician at Tronox Mineral Sands, Dr Makine oversees medical services, health risk management, policy development, and employee wellness programs. She also brings rich experience as a consultant to USAID TB/HIV programs, providing technical advisory services, strategic direction, and leadership in large-scale health projects.
